China has played a crucial role in Brazil’s export landscape, accounting for a significant share of the country’s international trade. With a population of 1.4 billion people, the Chinese market stands out as the world’s largest food consumer. Brazil is a key trade partner in the food sector, particularly in beef, and demand for Brazilian products continues to grow. Among the products with the most potential are offal (organs and viscera) and meat by-products that are highly valued in Chinese cuisine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aiming to strengthen ties, understand market demands, and explore future opportunities for Brazilian livestock in Asia, particularly in China, the RAMAX Group participated in <\/span>SIAL China 2025. Held in Shanghai, the event is one of the largest food and beverage trade shows globally, covering nearly all sectors of the food industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Milton Ribeiro, Commercial Director of RAMAX Group, attending the event was crucial for gaining insight into trends and innovations that will directly impact how a multinational company serves its clients.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The trade fair connected us with global leaders, allowing us to strengthen our network and expand our solution offerings for the Chinese and global markets,” he noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The executive also emphasized that the event enabled valuable exchanges around technology for optimization\u2014namely, how new tools and processes can make logistics and delivery even faster, safer, and more efficient.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are constantly evolving to stay updated and always one step ahead in delivering the best to our partners and clients,” he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chinese Appetite<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The year 2024 went down in history as Brazil’s strongest year for beef exports, with a total of 2.89 million tonnes, representing an increase of over 26% compared to the previous year. Export volume increased by 22%, generating US$12.8 billion in revenue. According to data from Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), compiled by the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC), this performance positioned the beef sector at the forefront of Brazil’s 2024 trade surplus, which reached US$74.6 billion.<\/p>\n

China remained the top destination for Brazilian beef, importing 1.33 million tonnes and generating US$ 6 billion in revenue. The United States followed with US$ 1.35 billion in imports. Other significant markets included:<\/p>\n
